About Matt DeSiena
Prior to going independent, Matt held the position of Content Director at TBWA\Chiat\Day New York – an Omnicom agency that specializes in cultural fluency and exceptional creative talent. He led content initiatives, tracked in-house social production, and built vendor relationships on behalf of multiple Fortune 500 brands across B2B & B2C disciplines.
He began his journey at TBWA as Editor-in-Chief on the social team, where he led a hybrid creative/strategy team to 75 million impressions (and 9% engagement) with limited paid media support. The day-to-day? Developing platform ideas in social & longform, aligning briefs with brand strategy, copy editing, mentoring junior creatives, approving multiple content calendars, and delivering insights using social listening tools.
Content that changes brand perception & consideration takes creative precision and rigor, both of which he applied in his previous stints in ad-tech and consultancies, helping agencies craft messaging that not only activated audience interest, but also resonated over time.
